Projetos
Docking Molecular, Dinâmica Molecular e Reposicionamento de Fármacos: Investigação computacional das interações entre moléculas bioativas e alvos moleculares de interesse biomédico, com ênfase na identificação e avaliação de potenciais candidatos a fármacos por meio de estratégias in silico. A pesquisa emprega principalmente técnicas de docking molecular e dinâmica molecular para analisar modos de ligação, estabilidade de complexos proteína-ligante e comportamento estrutural e dinâmico das interações ao longo do tempo, contribuindo para a seleção e validação computacional de compostos com potencial atividade antiviral. Essa linha de atuação inclui estudos envolvendo inibidores da protease do HIV frente à principal protease do SARS-CoV-2, bem como pesquisas recentes voltadas ao reposicionamento de fármacos e à investigação de candidatos contra alvos dos vírus Nipah, Zika e da Febre do Nilo Ocidental. Esses estudos buscam estabelecer relações entre estrutura molecular, afinidade e estabilidade das interações fármaco-alvo, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento de estratégias computacionais de triagem, reposicionamento e descoberta racional de agentes terapêuticos.
